Project goals:
Ensuring sustainable conditions for the development of a competitive economy and the long-term provision of a better quality living space in the common region.
Module targets set:
- Module 1: Creating a preliminary study and a strategy for the development of a logistics center with program contents; making a study of site comparability with analysis; urban planning; establishing contacts and cooperation between local communities in the region, local communities in cross-border regions, ministries and governments, companies in the region, the state; a strategic investment plan has been developed; an individual marketing plan developed; conducting marketing activities; informing the public; elaboration of the methodology of networking of logistics centers.
- Module 2: The objective of the proposed feasibility study is to investigate and evaluate three possible corridor variants at the processing level of a simplified feasibility study. Review and evaluate existing studies according to new features; market potential of the new line; simplified environmental impact assessment; estimates of investment values; assessment of traffic flows and market potential of the new link; assessment of advantages and disadvantages.
- Module 3: Through the two-way higher qualification of workers, the cooperation of industrial and craft establishments should be improved, enabling cross-border cooperation at local and regional level, thus increasing competitiveness in the region.
Adaptation and implementation of long-lasting and quality completed training in the field of logistics; setting up expert groups; developing guidelines for institutes and mentors; pilot training "Train-the-trainer"; network construction; highlighting the need for education for logistics companies.
Meaning for the local environment:
It is intended for Slovenian entrepreneurs and foreign investors who are looking for a suitable location for their business project in Slovenia (green eld or brown eld investment). We also introduced a system of certification of ELA standards in Slovenia for logistics professions.
Results of the project:
Module 1 - Design concept and strategy for the development of the logistics center; a site comparability study was conducted with analysis and assessment of suitability; urban design with 3D model; established contacts and cooperation between local communities in the region, local communities in cross-border regions, ministries and government, enterprises in the region, the state; a strategic investment plan has been developed; an individual marketing marketing plan developed; creating 3D model center; animation of Slovenian and international market partners; the methodology of networking of logistics centers and the transfer of theory into practice.
Module 2 - Study of a new alternative rail link; a rough estimate of investment costs; operation study; economic and financial study; socio-economic and market research; analysis of geological and hydrogeological conditions; a study of market potentials of the new line; track tracking study; feasibility study of 3 possible corridor variants.
Module 3 - Guidelines for educational institutions and mentors; Guidelines for evaluating programs and mentors; "Train-the-trainer" joint learning plan; designation and / or establishment of an educational establishment in the fields of logistics and transport; designing a certification system according to ELA standards in Slovenia; a network of mentors; network of experts.
