Project objective:
The Danube-ADAPT project aims to improve the availability of harmonised data and knowledge in the Danube Region to support evidence-based policy making for climate change adaptation.
The Danube-ADAPT project aims to create harmonised data availability and knowledge in the Danube Region to support evidence-based climate adaptation policy making by strengthening the cooperation of key actors of the region and developing a territorially integrated climatological baseline database, a common vulnerability assessment framework, both tailored to the region, as well as a set of tools, namely a platform to support climate change adaptation policy in the Danube Region.
As the Danube-ADAPT project aims to improve climate adaptation capacities and evidence-based policy-making by developing a common framework for vulnerability assessments in the Danube region, including the establishment of a baseline climatological database and a policy support platform, the project will heavily draw on past and current project insights, first-hand experience of Project and Associated Strategic Partners and other available knowledge to craft tailored solutions that effectively address the climate adaptation challenges of the region.
Activities:
- Building a climate observation database for the Danube Region,
- Creation of a database of future climate projections for the Danube Region,
- Elaboration of a comprehensive Climatological Baseline Database.
