Investing in research and development (R & D) is a key factor in sustainable economic growth and the emergence of new, better jobs and the increase in value added to the company. Researching and developing the product and its launching on the market is a lengthy process and the results of investment in R & D are delayed, therefore they represent an investment rather than a cost.

SRC Bistra Ptuj as a part of the scientific excellence

Knowleage, technological innovations and inventions are the basic source for maintaining, consolidation  and enhancing competitive advantages in the domestic economy. ZRS Bistra Ptuj is intensively involved in scientific research as the first of the stages in the emergence of the  technological change, followed by the development of its research, applied research and commercialisation.

In the scientific research (basic and applied) work, we are focused on the systematic acquisition or creation of a new knowledge, both in disciplinary and interdisciplinary areas, where there is a combination and synergy between science and technology and the social science and the humanities.

Basic research is performed mainly out due to the development of knowledge in collaboration with the University of Maribor, University of Ljubljana, Institute of the Chemistry and Research centre. The results of the basic research are published in scientific journals (www.izum.si) and presented at the conferences.

In applied research we are focused on the specific partical aims and purposes. Through this research we develop and are using new methods to investigate the partical utility. In applied research we collaborate with the academic institutions (University of Maribor, University of Ljubljana, University of Nova Gorica, Institute of Chemistry and Research centre) and knowledge users (industry stockholders).

The knowelage, gained on the basis applied research, often protected by a patent or protected as a trade secret.

In the SRC Bistra Ptuj, we are aware of how important it is to support research, science and technology for a sustainable economy. Indeed, the success of cooperation on both domestic and international markets is connected with the skill »able to exploit« and it is the most modern scientific knowledge. At this point, ZRS Bistra Ptuj is a successful institution in the last 20 years as a connecting link between science and knowledge users i.e. economy:

integration and transfer of the  knowledge from universities and institutes in the economy, development co-creation of ideas and the transfer of businesses, these research institutions.

The programme YOUNG RESEARCHERS on their doctorate path

One of the instruments of national science policy (Slovenian Research Agency – SRA and SPIRIT) is the funding of postgraduate studies and research training of young researchers. Both programs contribute a great deal to improvements in the fields of research and recruitment of young research groups but foremost, they are focusing on strengthening research, development and innovation capacities of enterprises.

SRC Bistra Ptuj is successfully implementing training programmes for young employees, and this type of education programme has become a regular feature in our aspirations to meet the demands of both, the local and wider environment. Many researchers have successfully completed training and have been granted the academic title »Doctor of Science«, and are employed in the economy or in research institutions

Regijska tekmovanja mladih raziskovalcev

Uvajanje mladih v znanstveno, izobraževalno, timsko in promocijsko delo pri popularizaciji znanosti med mladimi

S projektom premagujemo bojazen, ki jo je izrekel fizik Leon M. Lederman: »Obžalujem, da nisem nikoli poučeval najmlajših, kajti ti so pravi znanstveniki. Postavljajo si čudovita vprašanja: Kaj drži nebo, da ne pade dol, Koliko besed imam v sebi, itd. Toda skozi šolski sistem, kjer vse to izženejo iz njih, odrastejo in postanejo miličniki, vojaki, smetarji, tovarnarji itd.«

Da bo opisana bojazen omenjenega znanstvenika odveč, poskušamo preko našega projekta na organiziran način začetno brskanje mladih artikulirati do odličnih raziskovalnih sposobnosti, ki so edini garant za enakopravno preživetje slovenskega naroda v bodočih evropskih integracijah. V mladih želimo vzbuditi ustvarjalnost, ki je, po mnenju sedaj že pokojnega velikana dr. Antona Trstenjaka, osnovni pogoj za preživetje maloštevilnega naroda – »Maloštevilni narod kot smo Slovenci lahko preživi le, če je ustvarjalen.«

ZRS Bistra Ptuj si je s podpisom »Pisma o nameri« z Ministrstvom za znanost in tehnologijo pridobila status regijskega centra za organizacijo in izvedbo projekta »Uvajanje mladih v znanost« in ga pričela leta 1993 tudi izvajati. Izvajanje projekta poteka v obliki regijskega srečanja mladih raziskovalcev osnovnih in srednjih šol Spodnjega Podravja in Prlekije.

Namen mladinskega raziskovalnega dela je v raziskovanju mladih raziskovalcev na področju naravoslovja, družboslovja, humanistike, ekonomije in drugih ved, ki so zanje zanimive in hkrati pripomorejo k ustvarjalnosti in samostojnosti posameznika.

V raziskovalni skupini delujejo zraven mladih raziskovalcev tudi mentorji / pedagogi različnih šol, strokovnjaki iz gospodarstva in negospodarstva ter mladi raziskovalci, ki imajo status raziskovalca. Na osnovi njihove pomoči in svetovanja pri izdelavi raziskovalnih nalog (uvod, jedro, zaključek, oblikovni in slikovni material…) izdelajo učenci in dijaki raziskovalne naloge iz posameznih področij in jih na regijskih srečanjih javno predstavijo. Recenzenti kot zunanji sodelavci projekta sodelujejo pri ocenitvi vsebine in oblike raziskovalnih nalog in javne predstavitve mladih raziskovalcev.

Po opravljenih recenzijah podeljujemo zlata, srebrna in bronasta priznanja mladim raziskovalcem in mentorjem. Rezultate njihovega dela predstavimo v zborniku z ustreznim kataloškim zapisom. Z izbranimi talenti raziskovalnih nalog sodelujemo tudi na državnih srečanjih, ki potekajo v organizaciji Zveze za tehnično kulturo Slovenije. Letno sodeluje na regijskih srečanjih približno 250 mladih raziskovalcev in 100 mentorjev.

Splošni cilji projekta:

• v rani mladosti seznaniti mladino z metodami in principi raziskovalnega dela;
• uvajanje mednarodnih meril za ocenjevanje kakovosti raziskovalnega dela;
• povezovanje raziskovalnih skupin s konkretnimi naročniki.

Kvantitativni cilji projekta:

• letno povečati obseg mladinskega raziskovalnega dela;
• povečati število državnih nagrajencev,
• povečati število zunanjih mentorjev.

Pričakovani rezultati:

• povečan obseg raziskovalnega dela;
• najmanj dve državni nagradi;
• izdaja zbornika.

YOUTH RESEARCH WORK

We believe that »youth can change the world«, therefore we strive to bring research skills closer to children and adolescents. By connecting with educational institutions, SRC Bistra Ptuj is trying to establish a learning process in which young people would become aware of the importance of research for further developments in society, so we encourage them to be innovative at solving actual development issues of today’s society.
In the frames of Youth Research Work we organise Young Researchers competitions on a regional level and research camps aimed at supporting the young with their life decisions.

Ker verjamemo reku »Na mladih svet stoji«, si v ZRS Bistra Ptuj prizadevamo, da bi veščine raziskovanja približali že otrokom in mladostnikom. Povezujemo se z izobraževalnimi institucijami in skozi učni proces seznanjamo mlade o pomembnosti raziskovanja za nadaljnji razvoj družbe ter spodbujamo njihovo inovativnost ob razreševanju konkretnih razvojnih vprašanj sodobne družbe.

V sklopu uvajanja mladih v znanost pripravljamo letno Regijsko srečanje mladih raziskovalcev Spodnjega Podravja in Prlekije. Za lažjo pot od raziskovalne ideje do raziskovalne naloge ponujamo mladim in njihovim mentorjem različne publikacije povezane z nastajanjem raziskovalnih nalog.

Raziskovalna naloga je prvi stik mladostnikov z raziskovalnim delom, s katerim si mladi, poleg strokovnega znanja, ki zajema raziskovano tematiko, pridobijo tudi metodološka znanja, ki jim omogočajo, da rezultati temeljijo na resničnih dejstvih, pridobljenih na strokoven način in s primernimi metodami dela za obravnavano področje. Z izdelavo raziskovalne naloge pridobijo mladi tudi druge vrline pomembne za življenje, saj morajo biti v raziskovalni nalogi kritični do svojih rezultatov, kar pomeni, da je potrebno pridobljene rezultate iz raziskovalne naloge pravilno pokomentirati in ovrednotiti, na koncu pa še suvereno javno predstaviti.

Za uspešno pot do odlične raziskovalne naloge je najprej potrebno imeti dobro idejo za raziskovanje. Tema, ki jo želijo mladi raziskovati, jih mora zanimati, saj bodo raziskovali v svojem prostem času, raziskovanje jim torej mora predstavljati užitek in ne dodatno obremenitev. Prav tako mora raziskovanje mladim predstavljati izziv, s katerim želijo razvozlati raziskovalni problem in odkriti nova spoznanja na področju, ki jih zanima. V procesu raziskovanja je potrebno iz dobre ideje oblikovati inovativno idejo za raziskovanje, saj je pri raziskovanju ključno, da raziskujemo področje, ki ga pred nami na tak način ni še nihče raziskoval in da ne ponavljamo nečesa, kar so pred nami raziskali že drugi. Ponavljanje za drugimi nima enakega pomena kot inovativno raziskovanje.
