»Working together for a green, competitive and inclusive Europe«
For schools (students and teachers) and municipalities (municipal employees and citizens), we have started a series of travelling exhibitions to explain what the circular economy is and how it works, using the example of a demonstration of waste transformation at the level of re-use and re-design of waste in a circular economy studio made from used shipping containers. A total of 12 travelling exhibitions will be organised in the Podravje and Savinja regions.
Ljudski vrt Ptuj Primary School: 29.1.2024 - 2.2.2024
Ljudski vrt Ptuj Primary School is the first host of the Circular Economy Travelling Exhibition. During this week at StudiokroG, we took students through the experiences of the circular economy using second-hand shipping containers as a living space, classroom or playroom. They learnt how to creatively reuse materials that would otherwise end up as waste and the importance of every small decision that contributes to a greener and more sustainable world. So let's be environmentally friendly in creating our common future, summed up teacher Mrs. Karmen Mlakar.
Municipality of Cirkulane: 5.2.2024 - 9.2.2024
Through an exhibition, the Municipality of Cirkulane is raising awareness among its citizens about the importance of moving towards a circular use of resources, where waste or discarded items can be reused, repaired, recycled, etc. At the opening of the exhibition on the circular economy, the Mayor, Ms. Antonija Žumbar welcomed this kind of initiative (of the studioKroG project) for the local community, as they have the opportunity to learn how to reuse materials or equipment that would otherwise end up as waste and thus contribute to a greener and more sustainable transition of our community.
Municipality of Majšperk: 12.2.2024 - 16.2.2024
The Mayor, Mr Sašo Kodrič, expressed his support for the importance of the transition to circular resource use. The Municipality of Majšperk is proud of its unspoilt nature and the development of its social environment, and has therefore taken the initiative to organise an exhibition on the circular economy, as they want to raise awareness among the inhabitants and visitors of the municipality about the importance of protecting natural resources and the environment for the future of the community. In the circular economy, waste or discarded items are resources that can be reused, repaired, repurposed or recycled. The exhibition of the circular economy was also visited by the headmaster of Majšperk Primary School, Mr Rajko Jurgec, who will organise a tour of the exhibition for the pupils of Majšperk Primary School, together with the teachers of science subjects.
