On the occasion of World Earth Day 2024, our project partners invite you to StudioKroG Live: an interactive day, a day of learning the truth about the planet's limitations and a NEWS CONFERENCE, which will take place at:

• Location Slovenske Konjice, Tattenbachova 5d (StudioKrog)
• on Monday, 22 April 2024, starting at 10.00 a.m.

At the end of the project »Circular Economy Studio«, supported by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism, in addition to the traditional press conference on the occasion of World Earth Day, we invite the media and the public to participate directly and learn experientially about the current project, which ensures the sustainability and upgrading of the circular resource https://bistra.si/projektna-pisarna/projekti-v-izvajanju/studiokrog. The event presents a unique opportunity to present in an interactive and direct way the innovation of limited space in shipping containers, as a tool to demonstrate a reality that at its core most people do not want to acknowledge. It acts as a powerful metaphor for our planet as resources and raw materials are limited. This approach reveals in a direct and experiential way a profound truth about our world: we live on a finite planet with finite resources.

It will be a day of demonstrations on re-use and repair, guided tours and opportunities to talk to the experts and participants of the StudioKrog project. We will also present a new emerging option for waste reduction by setting up a repair shop - Repair Cafe in Slov. Konjice, which will use the concept of full re-use.

This year's theme for World Earth Day 2024 is »Planet Against Plastic«, highlighting the fact that 380 million tonnes of plastic are produced every year - while only 9% of the plastic produced is recycled. The call for a 60% reduction in plastics by 2040 is growing louder. The StudioKrog project is an example of a reality without single-use plastics and represents an innovative approach to achieving environmental goals at local level, actively following the requirements of environmental legislation and the circular economy.

The event programme includes:

1. A guided tour of the StudioKrog facility, where we will bring you into the reality of the challenges of resource scarcity through the example of recycled and reused shipping containers.
2. A discussion with experts on the topic "Planet Earth: Limited Resources, Unlimited Solutions".

3. Demonstration of practical skills in the Reuse Centre with a Repair Cafe event, where we will teach you how to easily repair your broken or damaged products.
